GRINDING - BENCH TYPE WHEELS

Choose the right wheel size and abrasive type to suit your application.

Each wheel also includes a range of bushes to suit different bench grinding machines.

PFERD Bench grinding discs are available in either the UNIVERSAL, ALUMINIUM OXIDE HSS or SILICON CARBIDE types. Manufactured to the highest quality standards and ideal for use in workshops.


UNIVERSAL
Materials to be worked:
Steel, stainless steel (INOX), cast iron

Advantages:
- Long tool life
- High dimensional stability
- High grinding performance
- Integrated adapter sleeve for mounting the wheels on almost any bench grinder spindle

Recommendations for use:
- Dressing the disc on a regular basis exposes sharp grain and maintains an even grinding area
- Constantly adjust the workpiece support to the grinding disc diameter (gap width max. 3?mm)


ALUMINIUM OXIDE HSS

Grinding discs of the HSS type are manufactured out of easy-to-break-down white aluminium oxide (AW) in a vitrified bond.
Materials to be worked:
Alloyed steel, tool steel, high-speed steel (HSS)

Advantages:
- Long tool life
- High dimensional stability
- High grinding performance
- Integrated adapter sleeve for mounting the wheels on almost any bench grinder spindle

Recommendations for use:

SILICON CARBIDE
Grinding discs of the CARBIDE type are manufactured out of sharp-edged silicon carbide in a vitrified bond.
Materials to be worked:
Tungsten carbide, high-alloy steel

Advantages:
- Long tool life
- High dimensional stability
- High grinding performance
- Integrated adapter sleeve for mounting the wheels on almost any bench grinder spindle

Recommendations for use:
